Assemble at the airport and depart for
Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland.
Before reaching the city, warm yourself up
with an experience in the amazing Blue
Lagoon geothermal spa, famous for its
healing mineral-rich waters surrounded by
jet-black basalt lava. Kick off the day with a
Reykjavik city tour, which starts with Perlan
(The Pearl) – a fantastic dome-shaped glass
building supported by six massive water
tanks, with an impressive water feature that
runs from the basement into the atrium.
Then, visit the beautiful Höfði House and
the Hallgrímskirkja church, where you can
view the novel exterior of the Lutheran parish church tower along with the statue
of Leifur Eiriksson situated at its front.
Tonight, we will stay out of the Reykjavik
city and towards the South Iceland for a
chance to catch the northern light out of
the light pollution.
Note: Due to limited accommodations available at South
Iceland so as to preserve the natural landscape and lesser
constructions. We may stay at either Hella or Hveragerdi
depending on availability.
Today, depart for the must visit place in
Iceland, the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon.
The glacial lagoon is one of Iceland's
greatest wonders of nature. Iceland’s famous
glacial lagoon filled with floating icebergs.
Visiting the lagoon is breathtaking
experience, you will have feeling like
entering a magical world and you may even
be lucky enough to see some seals. Today, you will also have the chance to see the
Diamond Beach. This beach is called
Diamond Beach because of the ice-chunks.
Polished by the sea, they look like
ice-diamonds.
Drive towards Vik, a picturesque town
located on the most southern point of
Iceland. The road to this place is a story for
itself, from volcanic beaches to glacier and
incredible stone formations. The city is
located on a beach of black sand. You will
have opportunity to enjoy a stroll along the
black sandy shores of Reynisfjara Beach
and see the magic of nature in the form of
its famous basalt columns that stacks up
into the shape of a pyramid. Consider an
optional to the Sólheimajökull glacier,
where you can embark on a glacier hike
where an experienced guide will start off
with a safety briefing and a short lesson on
how to utlise crampons and an ice pick.
This morning, we will make our way to
Skogafoss waterfall, one of the biggest
waterfalls in the country. Due to the
amount of spray the waterfall consistently
produces, a single or double rainbow is
normally visible on sunny days. Finally, a
scenic drive with a view of Iceland’s natural
beauty and stop at the unique
Seljalandsfoss waterfall, a narrow cascade
plunging over a 60-metre high cliff. You
may even venture on the footpath leading to the back of the waterfall for a different
perspective and equally breath-taking
pictures. After which, we will visit a farm
where you can enjoy Horse Show, featuring
the Icelandic Horses! These horses are a
unique breed of smallish horses that came
to Iceland with the first settlers from
Norway 1100 years ago. Our last stop will
be the Secret Lagoon Hot Spring. The
Secret Lagoon is a natural thermal pool, the
steam rising into the air gives the place a
surreal and mystical feel. You will have
some time to enjoy in this Secret Lagoon, a
truly enjoyable way to end the day with a
warm relaxing nature bath.
Embark on Iceland’s classic sightseeing
tour – the Golden Circle Tour – to discover
some of the most spectacular scenery and
historic sites in Iceland. The first stop will be
at Thingvellir National Park, a place of
historical significance and geological
interest. You can also visit the Althing, an
open-air assembly in the park where
Iceland’s oldest existing parliament first
assembled in 930 AD. Next, admire
Iceland’s most popular waterfall, the
Gullfoss, and if you’re lucky, you might
even be able to catch sight of a rainbow
arching over the tumbling waters flowing
into the deep gorge. Continue on to the
nearby geothermal area, a site bubbling
with activity and an abundance of hot
springs. Here, you will be able to view the
lively Strokkur geyser which spouts water
30 metres into the air every 15 minutes.
Tonight, we will drive towards West Iceland.
Depart for the Langjökull glacier, Iceland’s
second largest glacier. Onboard a monster
truck, for a once in a lifetime adventure
deep inside one of the world’s largest man
made ice caverns. The caverns are
composed of an extensive system of
tunnels and chambers that stretch close to
300 metres into the solid ice cap towards a
breath taking natural ice cave at the heart of
the glacier. Then we will proceed to the
Europe's most powerful geothermal area,
Deildartunguhver, for a photo stop before
heading back to Reykjavik.
Enjoy a free day at leisure, shopping,
sightseeing and exploring the city. You may
consider an optional to the Snaefellsnes
Peninsula where you enjy a journey up close
to the volcanic Snæfellsjökull glacier and visit
spectacular places in the surrounding National
Park like, Kirkjufell church-shaped mountain
with Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall, Gerðuberg basalt
columns, bird cliffs at Arnarstapi and view of
Snæfellsjökull volcano glacier. If not, there are
also many other day tours and activities that
you can join depending on what you will like.
Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure till it is time
to transfer to the airport for your flight home.
We hope you enjoyed your trip with our

you again for your next trip.

Tour name: 10D7N NORTHERN LIGHTS OF ICELAND Travel date:18DEC2019 - 27DEC2019 Tour manager: Kenneth Ng Had a great time in Iceland, even though we did not get to see the northern lights this time round. Kenneth was amazing at coordinating and provided information in a timely manner in order to better facilitate our daily schedule. He was very patient and always ready to help anyone in need as well - especially when we had to walk on ice to get to our destinations, he constantly made sure that everyone was safe. The Iceland tour was great, we got to visit many different places and looked at different sights with different experiences.

My wife, son Ethan and I have just joined the Iceland tour organised by EU holidays. The manager for this tour was Kenneth, he is a kind and very professional tour guide in this tour. We enjoyed blue lagoon, secret lagoon and also joined the spa with -5C degree cold weather. Water was about 38/39C. There were also interesting scenery like diamond beach and Glacier tunnel etc....all 26 of us are happy with his service. In the coach he also provides hot ginger water and biscuit etc.. all of us happy with his professional service and would recommend our friend to join EU holidays for your. Thanks CT

This is the first time i joined EU holiday and definitely not my last. I must compliment your company for having such an experienced and excellent tour manager. What Rocardo delivered was far exceeded my expectation. Because of him we warmed up to each other real fast and touring around like a big family. He is knowledgable and love to share what he knows down to how to tie our winter scaves to keep ourselves warm. He was sincere, caring, unpretentious n very passionate abt his job. He made sure we are comfortable and dressed up warmly and appropriately before we depart to each destination. He was very observant and knew each of his customers well. I have read much abt the Icelandic horses n expressed my wish to see one as this was not included in our itinerary, what a pleasant surprise when i found myself in a farm next thanks to Ricardo's arrangement. I m really grateful and appreciate his effort. He was also very obliging and patience in helping us taking many beautiful photographs. What i enjoyed most was his hillarious jokes! My hats off to him! We laughted non-stop through out our journey!A good tour manager does make a lot of difference in one's trip. Please convey my sincere thanks to Ricardo for giving us such a good memory in our trip to Iceland.

My first time joining EU.Ricardo is a very experienced tour guide. He’s different from the rest ofhe tour guides that I’ve met. His unorthodox ways breaks ice between awkward and unfamiliar people fast enough for them to become family within days. His hilarious , dramatic and explosive expressions made our stomach cramped with laughters. Yet, he’s a very detailed man. He make sure we are all dressed appropriately and warm enough for our activities. He will go to each and everyone of us and check from heads to toes. He carries lots of heat pad to make sure we don’t get cold. He also ensure our hands are well moisturized by going round and round with hand creams.... (the list goes on)...He’s informative and enthusiastic about his work. He learned on e job and raised questions to the local guides. He passed strong messages about saving the earth. Ricardo takes beautiful photos. He’s ever so obliging and eager to take photos for us. He even taught us how to pose. He will stand by the cliff or lie on the freezing ice just to capture a perfect angle. Thanks for such a memorable and entertained trip. This is my BEST guided tour ever... We will definitely want to join his tour the next time.

It was my first time joining EU for a vacation , together with my wife, my eldest son and daugther in law and my in laws ,too. I am quite a seasoned traveller and have been joining tours travelling. Europe is quite familiar but Iceland is a brand new destination. From the first day departure at the airport ,meeting Ricky for the first time , didn't think too much of him but just another tour guide. My perception of him changed thoroughly as the tour proceeded and I must say I am impressed and enjoyed his way of handling the whole tour. He was very professional, doing all the right things at the right times. He kept us informed of the daily programs, departure time and briefed us before hand what to expect and be prepared accordingly. He will joked and tell interesting stories during long bus ride to keep us entertained and not bored . His little gestures of giving out tidbits and poKing funsat some of the tour members making us feeling thoroughly at ease and in joyful moods. The weather was excellent though freezing cold and we were very lucky to be able to see the northern lights in our first night outing !Throughout the tour ,Ricky has been most helpful to help to take pictures for all of us. He was most obliging and will help everyone who needed pictures taken, in freezing cold weather, this was most welcome and I am sure most of us really appreciated. The whole tour was almost incident free and went on smoothly , and once again , I would like to thank Ricky for a job well done , cheers !
