Upon arrival at Osaka airport, be greeted by the local guide. Make our way to Kobe to immerse yourself in the Kobe's Kitano Ijinkan-gai is a charming blend of history and culture, with its picturesque European-style houses and cobblestone streets, offering a glimpse into the city's foreign heritage. Harbourland, on the other hand, is a vibrant waterfront area full of modern attractions, including shopping malls, entertainment complexes, and stunning views of the harbour.
This morning, take a stroll through the serene Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, this enchanting forest is home to thousands of towering bamboo stalks that create a breathtaking and ethereal atmosphere. Next, head to the famous landmark located in the Arashiyama district – Togetsukyo Bridge. It is a serene and picturesque place that captures the essence of Kyoto's natural beauty. Discover Kyoto's rich cultural heritage at the Kiyomizu-dera Temple, one of Kyoto's most iconic landmarks that is renowned for its stunning wooden architecture. Admire breathtaking views from the temple that is perched on a hill overlooking the city, offering panoramic vistas that are particularly beautiful.
Embark on a trip to the popular Shirakawago Village, a picturesque UNESCO World Heritage site in Gifu Prefecture, known for its traditional gassho-zukuri houses with steep thatched roofs. It offers a peaceful, historic atmosphere, especially magical in the winter.After that, proceed to the Takayama's Sanmachi Street, a charming Edo-period preserved area with wooden merchant houses, quaint shops, and local eateries. It’s perfect for experiencing history, local crafts, and delicious Hida beef.
Today, stroll along the Gero Onsen Street before heading to Gujo Hachiman Town, a beautiful, historic town in Gifu Prefecture, known for its traditional streets, canals, and the stunning Gujo Hachiman Castle. The town offers a glimpse into old Japan, with charming wooden buildings and picturesque views. A fun highlight is the DIY food replica making experience, where you can create realistic models of Japanese dishes, a popular craft in the area. End the day at Shisaibashi and Dotonbori. They are iconic districts in Osaka, known for their vibrant, neon-lit atmosphere. Shisaibashi is a bustling shopping street filled with trendy stores and entertainment. Dotonbori, famous for its flashy signs like the Glico Man, offers a lively nightlife scene and is a food lover's paradise.
After breakfast, head to Osaka Castle Park, a large, scenic park centred around the iconic Osaka Castle. It’s a great spot for a leisurely stroll and to take a picture of the famous castle. Kuromon Market is a bustling, vibrant market in Osaka, famous for its fresh seafood, local delicacies, and street food. Let’s do last minute shopping at the Rinku Premium Outlet before transferring to Kansai Airport. Bid farewell to Japan as you embark on your journey back home.
