Tour Highlights:
Our vacation begins with a pleasant flight from Singapore to the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy some free time exploring at leisure.
Upon arrival, visit Lake Ashi for a photo stop, known for its tranquil waters surrounded by picturesque landscapes. On a clear day, you may see Mt Fuji. Thereafter, take a one way cable car to Owakudani, a volcanic valley with active sulfur vents and hot springs. Every year, the Shibazakura Festival showcases over 800,000 pink moss phlox flowers, creating a stunning carpet of colour against the backdrop of Mt. Fuji. Visitors can stroll through the fields, enjoying the beauty of the flowers (Available from 13 April to 25 May 2025). We will visit other attraction if the Shibazakura Festival is over.
This morning, head to Daio Wasabi Farm, one of Japan's largest wasabi farms (Wasabi ice cream at own expense). We will head to Matsumoto Castle to see the majestic historic fortress located in Matsumoto City. Its striking black and white architecture, surrounded by picturesque gardens and moats, offers visitors a glimpse into Japan's feudal past and architectural heritage. Next, travel to Ishii Miso Factory and explore Japanese traditional way on Miso brewing.
An exciting day awaits us as we will visit the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route - Snow Corridor “Yuki no Ootani”. We traverse the route using a variety of vehicles (6 types) with an elevation change 2400 meters. You will be sure to have a fun day today! Along the way, we will be visiting Kurobe Dam too. The construction of this dam has been called” the most difficult work of the century”, at 1,500m, Kurobe Dam is the highest arch dam in Japan.
Note: Snow Corridor visit is only available in mid-April till end of May and is subject to weather conditions.
This morning, journey to UNESCO World Heritage Site - Shirakawa-go. The architectural with its iconic thatched-roof houses, enjoy panoramic views from Wada House Shirakawago Observatory Deck, explore the enchanting Hida Great Limestone Cave, and wander Takayama's historic Old Town Street.
After breakfast, take a walk at Takayama Miyagawa Morning Market, which sells fresh locally grown fruits, vegetable, flowers and more. Then, move on to Sample Village Iwasaki to enjoy a DIY session of making food samples at a food replica making workshop. Thereafter, enjoy shopping time at Toki Premium Outlet, home to 180 outlet stores!
After breakfast, make a visit to Kadode Ooigawa for a unique experience in their "Green Tea Tours". Thereafter, travel to Nihondaira Yume Observatory, a popular scenic spot in Shizuoka with a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji. This afternoon, travel back to Tokyo and we will spend some time exploring the bustling streets of Shinjuku.
Begin your tour at Sensoji, also known as Asakusa Kannon Temple, to see the city’s oldest temple in its iconic vibrant colours. Along the way, stroll along Nakamise shopping street to browse a variety of traditional, local snacks and souvenirs. You may even catch a glimpse of Sky Tree from the Asakusa area! Enjoy some free time at leisure until it is time to transfer to the airport for your flight home.
