Then, embark on the Chigu Lagoon Oyster Picking Ecological Tour aboard a legal harvesting boat. Listen to expert explanations, harvest and taste your own oysters, and immerse yourself in Tainan's marine culture. Explore the traditional salt harvesting techniques at Jingzaijiao Tile-Paved Salt Fields, Taiwan's oldest salt field dating back to the Qing Dynasty. Finally, indulge in diverse and authentic Tainan cuisine at Guohua Street, renowned for its Bib Gourmand award-winning snack bars.
This morning, explore the ancient charm of Anping Old Street, known for its historic significance and century-old shops offering traditional snacks and unique treasures. Visit the Tainan Confucius Temple, Taiwan's oldest, and then enjoy some shopping at Tainan Mitsui Outlet, that features 190 stores. Lastly, stroll along Shennong Street, rich in history and dotted with temples and old industries.
Today, start your journey at New Nanmen Market, a century-old traditional market offering a diverse array of groceries, cooked food, and snacks from northern and southern Taiwan, known for its quality and affordability. Then, head to the Highland Mountain Specialty Center for learning and shopping opportunities. Experience the newly renovated Rongjin Gorgeous Time, an old building from the Japanese occupation period now home to various outdoor independent brands. Conclude your day with some leisurely shopping time at Ximending.
Begin your journey at the Tianlu Art Center to discover the various types of Tianlu and their functions. Next, explore the picturesque Badouzi Railway Station on the north coast and embark on a scenic sea view train ride along the Shen-ao line. Then, visit the renowned Houtong Cat Village, once a coal mining town and now famous for its abundant feline residents, earning it the nickname "Cat Village".
