Begin your holiday with a pleasant flight to Perth – the capital of Western Australia.
Upon arrival, head north from Perth’s central business district and joining the Indian Ocean Drive at Yanchep, cruise past pristine beaches and pretty spring wildflowers on a scenic drive to reach Lancelin in just 1.5 hours. Stop here to try sandboarding at the famous Lancelin Sand Dunes – the white sands make a perfect setting for sandboarding. At midday, indulge in a half-lobster lunch before making your way to Geraldton. Stop for some photos of The Leaning Trees, a bizarre natural phenomenon caused by the airborne salt content blown in with the winds off the Indian Ocean where the tree trunks lie horizontal to the ground, which have become somewhat of an icon. Continue to Geraldton, a trendy seaside city offering everything from cold-brew coffee to street art and arts festivals, making it as much a destination for those who love city life as for those who like getting back to nature. Drive past St Francis Xavier Cathedral for a photo-stop at HMAS Sydney II Memorial.

Note: Accommodation at Geraldton is on a multi–share basis.
Kick off your morning with a visit to Kalbarri National Park. Home to a large species of flora and fauna, this 186,000-hectare national park is also filled with 400-million-year-old river gorges and dramatic coastal rock formations. The 500-metre walk to Nature’s Window also presents great photo opportunities, as the natural hole in the ancient rock perfectly frames the Murchison River carving through the gorge far below. Thereafter, visit Kalbarri Skywalk for spectacular views of the 400-million-year-old sandstone that formed the gorge and all its surrounding environment. Next, drop by the gorgeous Hutt Lagoon. One of the most picturesque spots in Western Australia, the dreamlike, pink hue of Hutt Lagoon comes from the presence of the algae dunaliella salina in the water, and the colour vibrancy is known to change with the seasons and time of day. Finally, head to the Coastal Cliffs to see the Natural Bridge, formed from the thousands of years of surf pounding away at the cliffs, creating a tunnel through one strong section jutting out into the ocean.
Today, experience one of Australia’s most mystical landscapes – The Pinnacles Desert, which is located inside Nambung National Park. The Pinnacles are amazing natural limestone structures, formed approximately 25,000 to 30,000 years ago after the sea receded and left behind deposits of seashells. Over time, coastal winds removed the surrounding sand, leaving the pillars exposed to the elements. The Pinnacles range in height and dimension - some stand as high as 3.5 metres! Walk among the mysterious formations that are believed to be remnants of prehistoric seashells, then browse the exhibits at the visitor centre to learn more about the area’s fascinating geological history.
This morning, drive to Swan Valley to visit Caversham Wildlife Park, home to Western Australia’s largest private collection of native wildlife. The park has more than 200 species of fauna, with a focus on native Australian animals such as koalas, wallabies, possums, Tasmanian devils, and wombats. You can enjoy a sheep shearing show at the park. Next, sample some delicious honey at The House of Honey. Look at their live bee display and visit the onsite shop which showcases all the things related to honey and bees. Then visit Australia’s oldest chocolate company and indulge yourself in their showroom, café, and gift shop. Transfer back to Perth and set off on a city tour. Drive past Parliament House, Barracks Arch, Council House, Northbridge, Governor House, St Georges Terrace, Blue Boat House, Hay Street and Murray Street Malls. Visit the Kings Park and Botanic Garden for a panoramic view of the city and enjoy a spectacular walk through a canopy of trees on Federation Walkway.
Spend the day at your leisure. Alternatively, you may wish to join an optional tour to visit Rottnest Island, a natural A-class reserve with incredible beauty and biodiversity.
Enjoy the day at your leisure and explore the streets of Perth at your own pace. Rich in art, the city pulses with vibrancy.
Uncover more of Perth at your leisure before your flight back home. We hope you enjoyed your vacation with our company, and we look forward to seeing you again on your next trip.
