Mustang Ecological Park is home to over 100 petrified wood specimens, including China's longest at 43 meters, as well as an artificial forest of 350 Populus euphratica dead wood specimens. The park also features black iron meteorites, wind-eroded rocks, Gobi sand, yardang stones, Gobi jade, and various wild animals such as Przewalski's horses, vultures, and argali sheep.

The best time to visit is during the golden autumn season when the leaves turn golden and the mountain peaks behind the forests begin to accumulate snow.

• Hemu Village Scenic Area (including shuttle bus) is a small village inhabited by both Kazakhs and Tuvas. It is known as God's backyard and a paradise on earth.
• Tuvan Tribe - a forgotten Mongolian branch by Genghis Khan. Visit the Tuvan families for a home visit.
• Haden Observatory Deck (overlooking the panoramic view of Hemu Village)
• Kanas Natural Landscape Reserve (including shuttle bus) - United Nations environmental officials visited Kanas and saw the beautiful and charming scenery, exclaiming that "Kanas is the best-preserved natural landscape on Earth. Its existence proves how beautiful the habitat of mankind once was. This is the last piece of pure land in the world, and it is so beautiful that it takes your breath away."
• Stroll along the Kanas River to admire the Siberian Taiga.
• Guanyu Terrace (including shuttle bus) - climb up the steps slowly to reach Guanyu Terrace , which is the best place to enjoy the panoramic view of Kanas Lake from different angles.
• Burqin Night Market, night tour of the Popular Landmark - Kanas Suspension Bridge

• The largest international Grand Bazaar - a large minority shopping mall, you can buy souvenir and specialty.

• Shazhou Night Market
• Experience the distinctive Gobi landscape of Northwest China, and if lucky, witness the rare and stunning mirage phenomenon if weather conditions permit.
• Head to Jiayuguan -This is the westernmost end of the Great Wall.
• Jiayuguan Great Wall Tower (battery car included) - Viewing Qilian Snow Mountain from afar.
