For those seeking an extra adventure, an optional Desert Safari tour awaits, allowing you to explore the mesmerizing desert landscape at your own expense.

Enjoy a free day at leisure exploring more of the Red Sea region today. You may wish to take up an optional trip to discover the marine life of the famous Red Sea through a Red Sea Submarine Tour or a snorkelling tour at your own expense.

After breakfast, depart the Red Sea for Luxor. When you arrive, pay a visit to the East Bank of Luxor and explore the Karnak Temple – a sprawling complex of shrines, obelisks, and gateways where Amun and other deities were worshipped. Next, visit the striking Luxor Temple, an ancient structure featuring a colonnade of soaring columns and larger-than-life statues that look particularly beautiful after dark. Transfer to the dock and board your vessel, which is where you will be staying for the next 4 nights as you explore the River Nile.

Note: Overnight cruise may not stop at the stated city port and is subject to the cruise schedule.

After breakfast, begin an exciting discovery of Luxor's West Bank by visiting the Valley of the Kings, where tombs were built for the pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom of ancient Egypt. Next, continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, a mortuary temple dedicated to the Sun God and pass by the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III. Return to the ship and continue cruising towards Edfu via Esna Locks.

Set off on a horse-drawn carriage to visit the beautiful and well-preserved Temple of Edfu, which is dedicated to Horus. Return to the ship and continue along the Nile, the longest river in Africa (6,670km) and second longest in the world. Sail to Kom Ombo and visit the unique temple dedicated to two gods – the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. Thereafter, enjoy an epic Nile sunset from the deck of your ship as you continue south towards Aswan.

Get an early start to your day with a trip to the Abu Simbel Temples by coach. Prepare to be blown away by these majestic temples, which are undisputedly one of the world's most breath-taking monuments. Thereafter, make your way to the gorgeous Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis. Stop for a photo stop at High Dam, an embankment dam built across the Nile in Aswan, before returning to your ship for lunch. In the afternoon, you may wish to take up an optional tour to visit the Nubian villages or a felucca ride on the Nile around Kitchener’s Island.

After breakfast, your delightful cruise will come to an end. Disembark from the ship and transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Cairo. After your arrival, wander through the labyrinthine alleys of Khan el-Khalili, an enchanting souk tucked away in the heart of the old city. Next, stop by the Papyrus Institute to observe the making of papyrus and visit a perfume factory for local fragrances bottled in unique blown glass perfume bottles.

Kick-off the day with a trip to one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx of Giza, the legendary guardian statue with the body of a lion and the head of King Chephren. Enjoy an extraordinary camel ride experience and take some memorable photos before we begin to explore the legendary Step Pyramid of Saqqara. Following that, visit the Open-Air Museum at Memphis to see the majestic limestone statue of Ramses II and an Alabaster Sphinx.

Note: Admission to the Royal Mummies Room is excluded.

After breakfast, visit the fascinating Egyptian Museum, home to a treasure trove of ancient Egyptian antiquities. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art, which is considered the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. Stop to see the Hanging Church, aka St Virgin Mary Church. Built in the 7th century, this old church takes its name from its location – it sits above a gateway in the old Roman fortress. Admire the courtyard and interior with its screens, marble pulpit and icons, and hear about its long history. Next, after visiting the Monastery and Church of St George – an early 20th-century church that is the only round church in Egypt, drop by Abu Serga, a 5th-century Coptic Church and the oldest in Coptic Cairo. View the 24 interior columns and 12th-century icons on the walls and learn how the church stands where the holy family is thought to have stayed during their flight into Egypt from Israel King Herod. Then, admire the sight of Ben Ezra Synagogue – once a Christian church – before finishing your tour at the Coptic Museum, located in one of Coptic Cairo oldest areas. See some of the 16,000 ancient artifacts on display, including precious icons and books that illustrate the history of Egypt Coptic community. Bid Cairo farewell and head to the airport for your flight back home.

We hope you enjoyed your trip with our company. We look forward to seeing you again for your next trip.
